Uppinangady, April 28, 2024: The Uppinangady police in Dakshina Kannada have registered a case against a groom from Kadaba for utilizing his wedding invitation card to endorse Prime Minister Narendra Modi by incorporating Mr. Modi’s photo on the card.

Shivaprasad, a resident of Alantaya Village in Kadaba taluk, distributed invitation cards for his wedding on April 18, wherein he suggested that making Mr. Modi Prime Minister again would be a fitting gift from the invitees to the newlywed couple. "Mr. Modi should continue as Prime Minister for the nation’s brighter future," Mr. Shivaprasad expressed on the card.

The Flying Surveillance Team intercepted the invitation card and discovered that Mr. Shivaprasad had not obtained permission for its printing. Deeming it a violation of the model code of conduct, the FST lodged a complaint with the Uppinangady Police on April 17 against Shivaprasad and the individual responsible for printing the invitation card.

On April 25, the police formally registered the complaint after receiving authorization from the jurisdictional magistrate.
