Udupi, May 29, 2023: The branch of a huge tree fell on the road on the old NH road at Parkala after a container truck hit the branch which was bent towards the road, during the early hours of May 29, Monday.

The locals themselves managed to clear the road of the tree branches to ensure smooth movement of vehicles. Locals have urged the authorities to trim the branches of trees on roadsides to avert such eventualities during monsoons.
