Udupi Mar, 22 : Udupi Deputy Commissioner Dr MT Reju has directed tahsildars of all taluks to remove all the hoardings and flex boards highlighting the achievements of the state government, in all taluk and villages, with immediate effect in view of the enforcement of the poll code of conduct for the ensuing assembly elections.
In Udupi, the CMC Commissioner has issued similar instructions and ensure measures to see that no flex or banners pertaining to religious or political events are displayed anywhere and if displayed be removed.
The DC has said that permission has to be mandatorily secured from the authorities concerned for putting up any banner or flex board regarding religious functions. The DC has further directed the tahsildars to open control rooms in taluk offices to solve all problems relating to voters ID cards.

alas ... its never too late... hoardings flex boards are the only reminder of their work . |
