Udupi: City bus fatally knocks down pedestrian

Udupi, May 30, 2024: An elderly pedestrian lost his life after he was knocked down by a bus while crossing the road at Eshwara Nagar in Manipal on Wednesday evening.
The deceased is Mahabala Shettigar (78), a resident of Eshwar Nagar. The bus was heading to Parkala from Manipal when the mishap took place. Shettigar who was critically injured was immediately rushed to the hospital, but he breathed his last before reaching the hospital.
Manipal Police have registered a case.
