KPSC row: CM DK Shivakumar calls BJP-JD(S) Godfathers of all scams

Bengaluru, Sep 3, 2026: Shivakumar was responding to the ongoing foot march being carried out by the Opposition BJP against his government.

“The scams committed by them (the Opposition) are too many. We are focusing on development instead of wasting time on their scams,” Shivakumar told reporters.

 

“Who appointed Shivashankarappa Sahukar as the KPSC chairperson? Who were the people in contact with him?” Shivakumar asked.

Sahukar was appointed chairman of the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) during the tenure of the BJP government led by then Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa.

Shivakumar also pointed out that Union Minister Pralhad Joshi had written to the state government seeking Sahukar’s suspension. “This is their internal fight,” he said.

“Our poor boy B Nagendra resigned from the Cabinet on his own. But nothing seems to satisfy the Opposition,” Shivakumar said.

“They are not targeting our Home Minister Priyank Kharge. The Home Minister has all the information about past scams. We will make those details public,” he added.
