UNIWEF to launch 20-day campaign for welfare of Muslim community

Mangalore Jun 10, 2013: Universal Welfare Forum (UNIWEF) under the slogan ‘Poverty is not a curse, Zakath is not beggary’ will be hosting a  20 day long campaign from June 12 to 30.

Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on June 10, Monday, Rafeeuddin Kudroli, President of UNIWEF said that the campaign will be organized for the upliftment of the community. He also said that during the campaign, the volunteers will make a door-to-door visit and explain about the development programmes initiated for their welfare.

Apart from it, the organization will also hold service activities  like distribution of school bags and shoes for poor children, wheel chairs for physically disabled, construction of toilet for economically backward families, renovation of houses for poor families, free health campaign, etc for the benefit of the poor of the community.

The campaign will begin by distributing  schools bags to the students of Kavalakatte Government School on June 12, Rafeeuddin said.

UNIWEF District President U K Khalid, Kudroli Zonal President Saifuddin Kudroli, Social Welfare Convener Haneef Kudroli, Ullal Zonal President B M Moideen were present at the press meet.
