Training camp on RTE Act inaugurated in city

Mangalore, Sept. 22, 2011: K. T. Shailaja Bhat, the president of the Zilla Panchayat, inaugurated a training camp on Right to Education Act 2009 at CODP Hall on September 22, Thursday.
Around 50 representatives from 7 districts are participating in this 2-day Mysore province level training camp.
Presiding over the event, Dr. K. N. Vijayaprakash, the CEO of ZP, said that the workshop stresses the significance of RTE act among the people and youths.
Gangadhar Reddy of Bangalore also spoke on the occasion.
Philomina Lobo, joint director of public instruction participated as the chief guest. She said the State government had finalised the draft of the rules. But it was delaying in notifying it.
Renni D’Souza welcomed the guests and gathering. Umesh Nirmal proposed vote of thanks.
