Sunni federation to hold Manavatha Maha Sangham convention

Mangalore, Apr 9, 2012: The Karnataka Sunni Unions Federation will organize a convention at Town Hall on April 11 Wednesday. MSM Zaini Kamil, the convener of the reception committee, said that the committee has finished preparing for the event. 

Speaking at a press conference held at Press Club on April 9, Mr. Kamil said that M. Veerappa Moily, the union corporate affairs minister, will inaugurate the convention and Qazi P.  M. Ibrahim Musliyar Bekal, the president of the state Jamiathul Ulema, will preside over the event.

 

Benedictory speeches will be delivered by Khamarul Ulama Kanthapuram A. P. Abubakker Musliyar, the president of the All India Sunni Jamiathul Ulama; Shri Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt; and Fr. Denis Prabhu, the vicar general. 

The federation will also organize the Brahath Manavatha Maha Sangham on Nehru Maidan at 4:30 p.m. on the same day. The event will be inaugurated by Maulana Allama Mufti Anwar Ali Hashmi Khadri, with Tajul Ulema Assayed Abdurrahman Al Bukhari presiding. The introductory address will be delivered by Qazi P. M. Ibrahim Musliyar Bekal. 

The convention is expected to attract 1 lakh people from Kerala and Karnataka. 

S. P. Hamza, P. M. Usman Saadi Pattori, Sakafi Bantwal, K. H. Ismail Saadi Kinya, M. P. M. Ashraf Saadi Mallur, and many others were also present.
