Sullia: Woman killed, two seriously injured in car-tanker collision near Kadepala

Sullia, September 4, 2025: A woman lost her life and two others sustained critical injuries in a head-on collision between a car and a tanker near Kadepala, close to Kallugundi on the Mani–Mysuru National Highway, on Wednesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Shobha, a resident of Nellihudikeri in Siddapur, Kodagu. According to police, the tanker was travelling from Madikeri towards Sullia when it collided with a car heading towards Madikeri. The impact left the car’s front portion completely mangled.
Shobha, who was in the car, died on the spot. Two other occupants from Nellihudikeri suffered serious injuries and were rushed to a private hospital in Sullia, where their condition remains critical.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
