St. Aloysius PU College to hold state-level cultural festival

Mangalore, Nov 16: St. Aloysius Pre University College will host Pre Unique, a state-level inter pre-university college intellectual and cultural festival on Nov 19 – 20 in the pretorium of the college.

Making the above announcement at a press conference held in Press Club today, Ganesh Amin Sankamar, professor of Kannada at St. Aloysius Pre University College, said that the college organizes this festival every year.

 

 

Further, he said that the college expects 30 colleges from all over Karnataka to take part in this event, adding that each college can send 50 students to take part. Stating that nearly 1000 students have already registered, he said that the organizers expect a total of 4000 students to take part.

Fr. Elvis C. Lewis SJ, principal of St. Aloysius College, will preside over the event, and Malini Hebbar, HOD of English at St. Agnes College, will be the chief guest for the inaugural ceremony, which will be held on Nov 19.

The valedictory ceremony will be held on Nov 20 at 3:30 p.m. with Fr. Elvis C. Lewis presiding and Prof. John Edward D’Silva, vice principal of the college, as the chief guest. Principal Fr. Lewis and several students were also present at the press conference.
