Speeding bus kills pedestrian at Katapadi

Udupi, April 7, 2024: A 62-year-old pedestrian died after being hit by a speeding bus while he was crossing road in Katapadi junction at Kapu on Saturday.
The victim identified as Vijay Kumar, resident of Malpe Kola. He is said to be a member of a music band.
The bus, en route from Udupi to Mangaluru, veered onto the road divider upon impact, leading to a temporary disruption in traffic flow. A case has been registered in Kaup police station.
