Speeding bus hits doctor’s car at Bunts Hostel

Mangalore, March 2, 2012 : A bus moving at top speed dashed against a car, which hit a compound wall at Bunts Hostel and destroyed it completely on March 1 Thursday.

The owner of the car, Dr. Umananda Mallya of Vijaya Clinic, was taking a right turn and his indicator was on. The speeding bus hit his Maruti Ritz with such force that he dashed against the compound wall of Canara Bank Sevashram Apartments. The doctor, who was all alone in the car, escaped with minor injuries.

According to eyewitnesses, Route No. 33, bound to State Bank from Akashbhavan hit the car from behind. Since there were no vehicles coming from the other side, nobody was hurt or injured.

The Kadri traffic police have registered a case.
