Mangalore, March 21: The people of Shivbagh staged a protest in front of the Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) to draw the attention of the officials concerned toward the pathetic condition of the roads.
They alleged that Gretta Rebello, their corporator, has failed to satisfy the demands of the people residing in her ward.
The residents lodged a complaint with MCC Commissioner K. N. Vijayaprakash, in which they stated that the roads, the storm water drains, footpaths, underground drains, overflowing manholes, and leaking water pipelines need immediate attention and alleged that the essential work has not been done.
A memorandum, signed by seven prominent residents of Shivbhag, stated that the residents will have to suffer another successive year if the MCC fails to take action immediately.
