IndiGo Kuwait–Delhi flight diverted to Ahmedabad after bomb threat

Ahmedabad, January 30, 2026: An IndiGo flight en route from Kuwait to Delhi was diverted to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport here on Friday morning following a bomb threat, airport officials said.

The aircraft landed safely at around 6.40 am with 180 passengers on board. Authorities said the diversion was carried out as a precaution after a passenger обнаружed a handwritten note claiming that a bomb was on the flight.

After receiving information about the threat, the pilot alerted air traffic control and diverted the aircraft to Ahmedabad. All passengers were safely evacuated after landing, following which security agencies and airport personnel conducted a comprehensive search of the aircraft.

Officials said no suspicious object has been found so far. “The flight will be allowed to depart after the final security clearance,” an airport official added.
