Mangalore, Nov 9, 2012 : According to recently passed government order, scouts, guides, rovers, and rangers will be given special eligibility while enrolling for medical and engineering courses. N. G. Mohan, DK District Bharath Scout and Guide Commissioner, announced that extra marks will be given to rovers and rangers in CET exams.
Mr. Mohan was presiding over Indaba, a state-level Scout convention held at the DK Scouts and Guides Training Centre in Pilikula on Thursday.
Further, he urged students to enroll in the scouts and guides movement as it helps shape their personality.
Ananth Krishna, non executive chairman for Karnataka Bank, inaugurated the program.
The 3-day training camp comprises seminars, camp fires, and other outdoor activities for trainers. Over 150 trainers from all over the state participated in the convention.
