Sale of e-cigarettes: City Cops ask MCC to cancel trade license of 3 shops

Mangaluru, Aug 25, 2023: The City Police have written to the Mangaluru City Corporation asking to cancel the trade license of three shops which were selling the banned e-cigarettes and foreign cigarettes unauthorizedly.

 

On August 21, the Barke police who had raided three shops at Saibeen Complex at Lalbagh had seized e-cigarettes and foreign cigarettes worth Rs 2.70 lakhs and had booked cases against three persons.

The three shops had earlier too been raided for selling e-cigarettes. However as they continued to sell the banned products despite police action,  the City Police Commissioner has in his letter asked MCC to cancel the trade license of these shops.
