In addition to the plantation drive, students constructed water harvesting trenches and took part in cleaning the surrounding areas of Posadigumpe, a scenic hillock located in the Kasaragod district, standing at an elevation of approximately 1,060 feet (323 metres) above sea level.

The initiative received active support and guidance from local residents, including Sathya Praksha E. K., Keshava Prasad Edakkana, and their family members. Prof. Ganaraj K. from the Department of CSE (AI & ML) coordinated the event.

The programme concluded with a visit to the nearby Shiriya Dam, offering students insights into the region’s geography and the importance of water conservation techniques. The experience served as a hands-on learning opportunity, deepening students’ understanding of environmental responsibility and sustainable practices.
