Another fake Facebook account created in Mangaluru Police Commissioner’s name; case registered

Mangaluru, Nov 28, 2025: Another fake Facebook account created in the name of City Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy has come to light. A case has been registered at the Kankanady Town Police Station.

While reviewing social media posts, station SI Shivakumar came across a Facebook account named Mangaluru CityPolice. On checking the profile, he found the Police Commissioner’s photograph and the state government logo. Since there was no space between “City” and “Police,” he grew suspicious and alerted the Social Media Monitoring Cell at the Commissioner’s office.

After verification, the account — linked to https://www.facebook.co,/profile.php?id=100089579642315

— was confirmed to be fake, following which an FIR was registered.
