SYS launches marriage fund for poor girls

Mangalore, Jul 24, 2012 : SYS launched a marriage fund and presented Rs. 50,000 to three girls at a special program held for the purpose at the SYS centre on July 22, Sunday.

Syed Jafar Sadik Tanjal inaugurated the program and said that the attempts of SYS to help the poor and the downtrodden are praiseworthy.

Abdyk Rashid Zaini, state secretary of SYS, presided.

In his address, Al Haj K. P. Hussain, state president of SYS, said that the youth of the country must take the initiative of assisting financially backward sections of society.


 

An initiative to provide 10kgs rice to 150 families was launched on the occasion, and coupons worth Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 were sold to raise money for the marriage fund.

Among the dignitaries on the dais were U. B. Mohammed Haji, Ismail Haji Koppal, Usmaan Palla, Moideen Bawa, and others.
