Mangaluru, Oct 23, 2025: SCS Hospital, Mangaluru, celebrated 38 years of outstanding selfless service today. The occasion also marked the inauguration of the newly established modern Radiology Department featuring the Fujifilm Japan 128-slice Cardiac CT Scanner, along with an NABL-accredited laboratory.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by the Member of Parliament of Dakshina Kannada, Shri Brijesh Chaut, who highlighted that for the past 38 years, SCS Hospital has dedicated itself to public service. He noted that Mangaluru, one of the major towns in the country, has made remarkable progress in the medical field. This progress, he said, is due to the adoption of innovative technologies, advanced medical equipment, and the provision of high-quality healthcare. He further mentioned that initiatives like those of Prime Minister Modi in improving healthcare and reducing taxes on daily-use medicines under GST have greatly benefited patients. He urged government, non-government, and community organizations to continue supporting the vision of building a healthier India.

Shri Chaut emphasized that sustainable communities require good health, and SCS Hospital has played a significant role in promoting healthcare in the Mangaluru region over the past 38 years.

Swami Jitkamananda Ji, President of Ramakrishna Math, said that SCS Hospital is one of the most trusted healthcare institutions in coastal Karnataka, providing selfless service. Over the years, the hospital has grown from its humble beginnings into a large-scale institution. The use of advanced medical technologies has played a key role in improving health outcomes. The newly inaugurated Cardiac CT Scanner, Radiology Department, and NABL-accredited laboratory are expected to contribute significantly to building a healthier society. Swami Jitkamananda praised the hospital’s commitment to providing high-quality healthcare with compassion for patients.

Vedavyas Kamath, MLA of Mangaluru South, noted that by adopting modern technologies, the hospital is helping to build a healthier society. He appreciated SCS Hospital’s innovative approach and vision for creating a sustainable, healthy community. He also suggested that efforts should be made to unite all medical institutions in Dakshina Kannada for greater impact.

Nagaraj Kempayya, National Head of Fujifilm India, highlighted that the state-of-the-art Fujifilm Japan 128-slice Cineria View Cardiac CT Scanner, along with the modern Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Departments and NABL-accredited laboratory, will provide advanced healthcare solutions. He added that Fujifilm’s precision technology will benefit both doctors and patients in cardiac care.

The program was presided over by Dr. Jeevaraj Sorake, President and Managing Director of SCS Hospital. Senior Consultant Dr. I.G. Bhat, Clinical Director Dr. Chandrashekhar J. Sorake, and senior surgical specialist Dr. K. Bhaskar Shetty were also present. Dr. Mallikarjun, the hospital’s Emergency Medical Officer, welcomed the guests, while Dr. Ivan Maben delivered the introductory address. The vote of thanks was presented by Divyaraj.
