Rowdysheeter arrested for beating up 2 school kids at Padubidri

Padubidri, Sep 22, 2013: A man identified as Firoz(38), said to be a rowdysheeter from Padubidri Kanchinadka has been arrested by the Padubidri police on September 21 Sunday on the charges of brutally beating up two school children aged seven and six.

The incident had taken place on September 18 morning when Nauman (7) and Sihaan(6), children of Nawaz and Khairunnisa of Abeddi were waiting for the school vehicle at around 8.30am. They studied in the Padubidri Urdu School.

It is said Firoz beat the children with wires injuring them on their faces, neck and back and then left them to school in an autorickshaw. In school, the children informed this to their classmates who brought the matter to the notice of the headmaster. The Panchayat too was informed and the Udupi District Child Welfare Committee took the case seriously. The school headmaster lodged a complaint which led to the arrest of Firoz on Saturday. He has been produced before the court and remanded to 15 days of judicial custody.

The motive behind the attack is not known.
