Mangalore, June 8, 2012 : Addressing a press meet in Mangalore on June 8, Friday, senior Congress leader B. Janardhana Poojary complained that the state government has not taken any action against Nithyananda Swami of Bidadi in spite of the allegations of sexual harassment leveled against him.
He further said that Nithyananda and his disciples now stand guilty of assaulting media persons too, adding that this should have made the state government take stern action against him.
Lamenting about the pathetic law and order situation in Karnataka, he urged voters to teach the BJP a good lesson in the upcoming legislative council polls and vote for the right candidates and the right party.
He also accused Team Anna of refusing to see the corruption in BJP-governed states such as Gujarath and Karnataka. Flaying the state government for weakening the Lokayukta in Karnataka, he said that the BJP government in Gujarath has not even appointed a Lokayukta. Questioning Team Anna, he demanded to know why they are not commenting on the corruption in states governed by the BJP.
