A total of nine persons were injured in the incident.

Those  booked include Safan, Ibba, Rizwan, Prasad, Kamal, Farooq, Mustafa, Irshad, Sadiq and Thousif. It is said they had all barged into the house of one Kunjanna  and had attacked his family members and neighbours, reportedly infuriated over an earlier incident during the day when two youth named Nizam and Shaukat tried to damage the bike owned by Praveen.
