Mangaluru: Two more suspects held in Abdul Rahiman murder case in Bantwal

Mangaluru, May 31, 2025: Two additional suspects have been detained in connection with the murder of Abdul Rahiman and the brutal assault on Kalandar Shafi in Irakodi, Kuriyal village. The incident, which occurred on May 27 under the jurisdiction of Bantwal Rural Police Station, has seen significant progress in the investigation.

The detained individuals—Sumith Acharya (27) from Tenkabelluru village and Raviraj (23) from Badagabelluru village—were taken into custody on Friday (May 30) and are currently undergoing interrogation.

The case (Crime No. 54/2025) has been registered under Sections 191(1), 191(2), 191(3), 118(1), 118(2), 109, 103, and 190 of the BNS 2023. So far, three accused have already been arrested in connection with the crime.

Police stated that the investigation is ongoing, and further legal action will be pursued based on the findings.
