Kasargod: Man dies after being swept away in flood

Kasargod, May 31, 2025: A tragic incident occurred in Madhur Patla Mogar, where a man lost his life after being swept away in a flood. The deceased has been identified as Sadiq (39) from Palakunnu Karippody.

Sadiq, who was visiting his wife’s home, was on his way to a nearby relative’s house when he got caught in the floodwaters. He was accompanied by his wife’s brother, Moydhu, who managed to escape safely.

Flood

The incident took place in the morning at Madhur Patla Mogar. Sadiq reportedly slipped and fell while walking through an open area, which led to the accident. Personnel from the fire and rescue department, along with local residents, conducted a search and recovered the body a short distance from where the incident occurred.

The body was taken to Kasargod General Hospital for a post-mortem and was later handed over to the family.
