Mangaluru, Sep 24, 2016: In an effort to pay homage to the soldiers who have lost their life in the terrorist attack at Kashmir’s Uri, citizens of Mangaluru got together and held Silent Solidarity March from Kadri Park entrance to War Memorial on September 23, Friday and offered floral tribute to Martyr’s.
The people of Mangaluru have joined the peaceful march ‘United for Better Dakshina Kannda’. A large number of people joined irrespective of Caste, creed and people of all age. It is important to note that many of those who are stepping out on the streets to express their pain and anguish over repeated terror attacks. We need to reach out to people and create more awareness as responsible citizens.
Saif Sultan Social activist organizer of the event, Police Commissioner ChandraShekar, Fr Oswald Monterio Director of CODP, Umar U H founder of Career guidance and information Center many others were present. Many organizations too supported and joined the march.
