Mangaluru: Pumpwell land allocated for KSRTC Electric Bus Unit

Mangaluru, June 22, 2025: Dakshina Kannada District In-charge Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao has instructed the Deputy Commissioner to allocate land for the establishment of a unit to operate 100 electric buses under the PM E-Bus Seva scheme for the KSRTC Mangaluru division.

To ensure seamless operation of these electric buses within the city, the minister directed the free transfer of seven acres of land at Pumpwell, acquired by the Mangaluru City Corporation, to the KSRTC Corporation.

In addition, he has approved the transfer of 9.90 acres of panchayat land located in Survey No. 87 of Balepuni village in Mudipu, Ullal taluk, for setting up the electric bus unit and a divisional workshop. This move is expected to bolster public transportation and promote eco-friendly mobility in the region.
