Kundapur, May 30, 2026: An 80-year-old man was killed after a private bus collided with his motorcycle near Balkattu Bridge at Moodubage in Siddapur on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Basava Nayak (80). The private bus was travelling from Siddapur towards Kundapur, while Basava Nayak was riding from Amparu towards his residence in Shankattu.
The impact of the collision left the biker seriously injured. Local residents rushed him to the Government Hospital in Kundapur, where doctors declared him dead after examination.
A complaint regarding the incident has been lodged by Premananda Shetty Kanyana. A case has been registered at the Shankaranarayana Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
