Mangaluru, Aug 5, 2025: A case has been registered at Barke Police Station regarding the theft of gold ornaments worth approximately ₹8.55 lakh from a house in Ballalbagh Vivekanagar.
According to the complaint filed by the house owner, Pooja, the family members were away on July 22, leaving only a home nurse and an ailing elderly woman at home. On July 26, they noticed that the key to the safe locker was missing. A new lock and key were made on July 28. However, on July 29, when the Godrej cupboard safe locker was opened using the new key, it was found that 171 grams of gold ornaments kept inside were missing.
