Mangaluru: Absconding accused wanted in multiple theft and robbery cases arrested

Mangaluru, May 28, 2026: Mangaluru South Police have arrested an accused who had been absconding after failing to appear before the court in connection with several criminal cases.

The arrested person has been identified as Mohammed Ashraf alias Ajju alias Sameer, a resident of Mavinkatte in Ajilamogru, Belthangady.

The accused was produced before the court on Wednesday and was formally remanded to judicial custody.

Several cases, including theft, robbery, and house burglary, have been registered against Ashraf at various police stations including Pandeshwar, Surathkal, Bantwal, Uppinangady, and Puttur.
