Shiva, Mangalore / Dubai said ‘Sad as this event is, it points to several glaring omissions by both the authorities and the public. If the airport’s hazardous conditions were published years ago why did the government not take any steps to reduce the dangers? Why did not Mangalore Today knowing what they knew pressurize the government or run a campaign to address this issue? Was is just another story to you guys which you forgot about after the next BIG NEWS? The fault lies with all of us who did nothing and perhaps will do nothing even 10 years from now. May the departed souls rest in peace.’

In all these years of Mlore history, I think this disaster is the saddest moment for us. I pray to god to give strength to all the family members, the moms who have lost their children, the wives, the grandparents, the fathers, the children who must have been eagerly awaiting the return of their dads with gifts. I still remember how the Mlore airport gets crowded to welcome the family members coming from Dubai. Today instead of joy, happiness and love, they have been given loss, grief and death to cope with. May god give them all the courage and strength to cope with their loss said Karthik, Bangalore

It is one of the worst disasters Mangalore had ever witnessed. Most of the travelers must be the breadwinners of their families who were quite happy to board the plane that was touching their hometown. I can imagine the feelings and excitement when one is returning home, not to mention the excitement of family members who are foreseeing the arrival of their family member who went abroad to uplift their family. No one had expected this type of horrible accident. However, the fate was destined differently against the wishes of all of us. Gireesh, Bajpe, Mangalore

Aren’t we comparatively very much behind when it comes to saving human life just compare it with many others nations? Pray that Central and State Government reflects on this reality which is a major drawback and gives a serious taught on such important issues in their agenda.
