Mangalore, Aug 1, 2013: The ABVP organized a protest rally in the city on July 31, Wednesday to condemn the technical glitches that cropped up during the CET counseling process. Hundreds of students took part in the rally taken out from Hampankatta to the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
Addressing the protestors, ABVP State Secretary K Ramesh urged the government to immediately solve the problem which has deprived thousands of students of the engineering seats. He was also critical of the authorities for not completing the counseling for diploma holders seeking lateral entry into engineering courses.
Even the government moves to ban students council elections in the colleges was criticized by the ABVP leader.
