Man who caused accident ends life

Mangalore, April 3, 2013 : A 50 year old man who deeply regretted an accident involving his car in which a 12 year old girl was killed, reportedly committed suicide by jumping into a well near his rented house on April 1, Monday night.

The deceased has been identified as Valerian Rodrigues. His Innova car had hit a 12 year old girl at Kankanady in February this year, killing the girl. It is learnt, Valerian could not come out of the trauma caused by the accident,eventually chose to end his life.

It is said Valerian who hailed from Koppa in Chikmagalur had purchased a flat in Mangalore recently and the house warming ceremony was held on March 31. He was earlier residing in a rented house at Jayashree Gate and had come there on April 1, Monday. When his children came in search of him the next morning, he was not found and his footwear was found near the well. His body was later retrieved from the well.

Kankanady police have registered a case.

it was an accident ... god forgave you the day you felt extreme guilt in your heart ,we all make mistakes .. realising it and not repeating is the right thing to do ... may your soul rest in peace my child
