Mangalore, Sep 26, 2012 : A man was found dead in his house at Gorigudda on the evening of September 25, Tuesday.The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Ram Suvarna, president of the Pumpwell Sarvajanika Shri Ganeshotsava Samithi.

Originally from Pumpwell, Mr. Suvarna lived with his family in Karkala, but visited Mangalore during Ganesh Chaturthi to supervise the public Ganeshotsav in Pumpwell. This year, he rented a house in Gorigudda.

On Tuesday, his friends visited him to find out why he was not receiving their calls and found the doors locked. They forced the door open and found him lying dead in a pool of blood.

The front door was locked and the back door was locked from inside. The drawers in the bedroom had been flung open.

The Pandeshwar police are investigating the case.
