MRPL appoints Shri Pattathil Sujith as Executive Director (Projects)

Mangaluru, Jun 1, 2026: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), a Schedule ‘A’ Miniratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and a subsidiary of ONGC, has appointed Pattathil Sujith as its Executive Director (Projects).

Before his appointment, Sujith served as Group General Manager – Corporate Strategy, where he was instrumental in shaping the company’s strategic initiatives, business planning, and long-term growth plans.

A native of Palakkad in Kerala, Sujith is a Mechanical Engineer with more than 30 years of industry experience. Since joining MRPL in 1993, he has worked across several key functions, including Maintenance, Reliability, Engineering and Inspection, Projects, and Corporate Strategy.

During his tenure, he played a significant role in the commissioning of the refinery’s Phase I, II, and III units. He also contributed to the establishment of the Asset Integrity Management System for the Phase III complex and was involved in the execution of MRPL’s BS-VI project.

In his new role, Sujith will lead the planning, execution, and commissioning of major capital projects and infrastructure initiatives aimed at supporting MRPL’s expansion and modernization plans. He is also expected to play a key role in advancing the company’s strategic diversification efforts and energy transition initiatives.
