Kundapura, Nov 5, 2025: A theft took place on Tuesday evening at Tallur, where miscreants broke a car window and fled with ₹2 lakh in cash kept inside.
According to reports, Gundhu Shetty, a contractor from Kenchanur, had withdrawn ₹2 lakh from a bank in Tallur and kept the cash in his car. He parked the vehicle in front of a residential complex near Tallur town and went to his rented house nearby. When he returned after about 10–15 minutes, he found the car’s right-side window shattered and the cash missing.
The theft occurred in a busy area near Tallur Junction, surrounded by residential and commercial complexes, as well as a bus and auto stand. The incident, which happened in broad daylight, has caused concern among locals.
