Kundapur, march 15, 2013 : Kundapur police who are investigating into the theft of a two-wheeler with a cash of Rs 80,000 in it, have gathered vital clues regarding the vehicle lifters, thanks to a CCTV camera located near the Shastri Circle.
The images of the two vehicle lifters are clear in the CCTV footage and the police are presently on the lookout for them.
The theft had taken place on March 11, after Jagannath Kharvi, a resident of the town, parked his Honda Activa near the Shastri Circle and had been to the nearby college where counting of votes of the ULB polls was underway. But, when he returned about 30 minutes later, the vehicle was missing .
Most importantly, it was a busy road and someone who was aware that Kharvi had kept cash in the vehicle is suspected to have resorted to this act.
The CCTV footages reveal that the vehicle lifters had arrived at the place at around 8.31 am in another scooter and reached the spot where Kharvi’s vehicle was parked. One of them wearing a Yellow T-Shirt was seen lifting the seat and then he used a key to start the two-wheeler and took it towards Koteshwar. The other person wearing a white T-shirt then went towards the College Road.
Interestingly, the road was quite busy when the vehicle was lifted from the spot. Search for the duo is on.
