 Kundapur, March 13, 2013 : Autorickshaw drivers as well as members of the general public of Koteshwar resorted to a lightning protest on March 12, Tuesday when a differently abled driver was attacked by three persons for practically no reason.

The incident took place when the driver named Anand Pai, had arrived to take part in the  ’Anna Santharpane’  at Pattabhiramachandra temple,  along with his wife and mother.


It is reported that a local shop owner along with his two sons abused and attacked Anand. The autorickshaw drivers who came to know of the incident, protested outside the temple and demanded an apology from the accused namely Sridhar Kamath and his sons Niranjan Kamath and Mallikarjun Kamath.


The Kundapur police who rushed to the venue brought the situation under control.
