Mangalore, Oct 14, 2011 :A Kingfisher flight, scheduled to take off from Bajpe to Mumbai at 5:00 p.m. on Oct 13 Thursday did not take off because its fuel tank did not have enough fuel.

Since the airline owes the Hindusthan Petroleum outlet at Bajpe Airport a considerable sum of money, the fuel station refused to fill the tank with fuel.

The Kingfisher flight had already arrived late from Mumbai; and according to the revised schedule, it was supposed to take off at 5:00 p.m. The 90 passengers, who were to board the flight, had to cool their heels for long hours since no alternative arrangement was made for them. Later, the Kingfisher staff at the airport refunded all the 90 passengers. According to the latest reports, the plane was still at the airport even till 10:00 p.m.

Some of the passengers grumbled that they had booked flights to foreign countries and other cities at Mumbai and that they would now miss their flights.
