1,000 Missiles Locked and Loaded: Trump warns Iran of massive retaliation over assassination threat

US, Jul 11, 2026: Amid rapidly escalating tensions between the United States and Iran, US President Donald Trump has claimed that he has left instructions to launch a massive military strike on Iran if Tehran succeeds in assassinating him.

In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, on Saturday, Trump said that 1,000 missiles are "locked and loaded" and aimed at Iran.

"1,000 Missiles are Locked and Loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands more to immediately follow, should the Iranian Government act on its threat... to assassinate, or attempt to assassinate, the sitting President of the United States of America, in this case, ME!" Trump wrote.

He further claimed that orders had already been issued and that the US military was "ready, willing, and able" to "completely decimate and destroy all areas of Iran" if such a threat materialised.

The remarks come after Israel reportedly shared intelligence with the United States regarding a "new" alleged Iranian plot to assassinate Trump.

In an interview with the New York Post on Friday, Trump said Iran had considered him a target for years and warned of unprecedented retaliation if any attempt on his life were successful.

"I’ve been on their list for a long time. That’s what we’re dealing with," Trump said. "I’ve left instructions... if anything happens, to just literally bomb them at levels that they’ve never seen before," he added.

Trump’s comments come at a time of heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, further intensifying concerns over the possibility of a broader conflict in the Middle East.
