Kavoor: Student killed in hit-and-run accident near Bondel

Kavoor, Sep 23, 2025: A tragic hit-and-run accident claimed the life of a student near Bondel under the Kavoor Police Station limits on Monday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Fahad Ahmed (22), son of Ahmed Bava from Jarinagar, Bajpe. He was a third-year Bachelor of Engineering student at P.A. College, police said.

The incident occurred around 8 am when Fahad was riding his bike from Bajpe to college. A speeding Swift car rammed into him from behind and fled the scene. Losing control, his bike crashed into an electric pole by the roadside. He died on the spot.

Mangaluru North Traffic Police rushed to the spot, conducted an inspection, and collected eyewitness accounts along with CCTV footage. The hit-and-run vehicle was later traced and seized in Kumpala, Kerala.

Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
