Karkala: Mentally ill woman sets herself ablaze; dies

Karkala, May 20, 2024: A mentally ill woman has ended her life by setting herself ablaze at Bola.
The deceased is Sharmila (36). She was suffering from mental illness since 13 years and had attempted suicide at home on May 3.
She was admitted to Wenlock Hospital for treatment, but she succumbed on May 19. Karkala Rural Police have registered a case.
