Kapu: Car crashes into bus shelter; driver seriously injured

Kapu, December 8, 2025: A car crashed into a bus shelter, leaving the driver seriously injured, in an incident that occurred on the morning of December 7 on National Highway 66, in front of Vidyaniketan School in Kapu.
The injured driver has been identified as Ismail from Koppalangady.
The car, which was heading from Kapu towards Uchchila, reportedly went out of control and rammed into the bus shelter on the roadside.
Ismail, who sustained serious injuries, was shifted to a private hospital in Udupi by SDPI ambulance staff Jalaluddin Uchchila and Hameed.
Kapu Police visited the spot and conducted an inspection.
