Kalavar stabbing case: Cops arrest three accused

Mangaluru, Sep 04, 2023: Suratkal police have arrested three persons in connection with the case of stabbing of a youth at Kalavar near Bajpe on September 3, Sunday evening.

Those arrested are Prashanth alias Pachu (28), Dhanaraj (23) and Yajnesh (22) of Kalavar. Police are searching for a few more accused in the case.

 

On August 31, following a fracas at Kalavar, a case was registered against Riyaz in Suratkal station. A peace meet was held at Kalavar on September 3 by the Suratkal police. It is learnt, the accused had summoned Abdul Safwan saying they had to talk. Accordingly Safwan had been to the bus stand at Kalavar along with his friend Mohammad Safwan. There the accused men abused and attacked Abdul Safwan.

When public gathered at the place, the accused had fled the scene.
