Kadaba, April 28, 2023: A wild elephant which was found sick in a lake at Kenjala Bagpuni of Kombaru has died on Friday. On Thursday this elephant was found exhausted and forest officials had informed that it was not even in a position to drink water. Dr Ajith, veterinarian from Kadaba as well as Dr Mujeeb, veterinarian of the Forest Department at Hunasur had arrived.

They examined the elephant and found that it was around 50 years old and suffered from some injury in its mouth. They also said it was suffering from age related ailments and its tooth were broken.

By evening the elephant had managed to enter the forest but was found dead at Bagpuni on Friday morning.
