Jana Jagrithi campaign against child labour launched

Mangaluru, Dec 06, 2023: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan on December 5, Tuesday flagged off a Jana Jagrithi Yatra as part of a Child Labour Rescue Campaign. The campaign is being held under the aegis of the District Administration, District Legal Services Authority, Labour Department and District Bala Karmika Yojana Sangha.

 

In his address, the Deputy Commissioner stressed the need to put an end to child labour and said all departments must strive in this direction.

Assistant Commissioner of Bala Karmika Yojana Sangha Shivakumar who spoke on the occasion said the Jana Jagrithi Campaign vehicle will traverse across the district for nine days and create awareness among public.

Shobha B G, Senior Civil Judge and Member Secretary of District Legal Services Authority and others were present.
