Mangalore, Sept 25: The inaugural run of Train No. 2653 / 2654 Tiruchirappalli – Mangalore Central – Tiruchirappalli weekly superfast express will be flagged off by Ho’ble Union Minister of State for Railways Shri E. Ahammad at 10.30 hrs on 27th September 2010 at Tiruchirappalli.

Inaugural special train will start at 10.30 hrs. and will reach Mangalore Central at 23.55 hrs on the same day. The trains will have a composition of 1 Ac 2-tier, 2 Ac 3 tier,11 sleeper class,2 General second class and 2 luggage cum brake vans.

 

As a regular service Tr. No 2653, Tiruchirappalli to  Mangalore weekly Super Fast express will start at 18.00 hrs from Tiruchirappalli on all Saturdays commencing from 02nd October 2010 to reach Mangalore Central at 05.25 hrs on Sundays. Stoppages and departure timings at stoppages (in bracket) are as follows. Karur Jn (19.20), Erode(20.25), Tiruppur(21.10), Podhannur(22.10), Palakkad (23.10), Shoranur(23.55), Kozhikode(01.30, Sunday) and Kannur(03.00).

In the return direction, regular service of Tr. No 2654 Mangalore Central to  Tiruchirappalli weekly Super Fast  Express will start at 20.45 hrs on Sundays commencing from 03rd October 2010 to reach Tiruchirappalli at 08.15 hrs on Mondays. Departure timings at stations are given in bracket. Kannur(22.55), Kozhikode(00.30,Monday), Shoranur(02.05), Palakkad(02.50), Podhanur(04.00)Tiruppur(04.35)Erode(05.25), Karur(06.25) 

Further to Press Release 10-11/88 of 25th September(ie Today), Please Note that The new trains will also have stoppages at Tirur, Thalassery, and Kasaragod stations in addition to the mentioned stoppages. Departure timings at each of these stations are mentioned in brackets.
