Indiana Hospital organizes free heart check-up camp

Mangalore, Oct 1, 2012 : Indiana Hospital organized the Indiana Heart Conclave 2012, a free heart check-up camp for media people and police officers at the SP’s office on September 30, as part of World Heart Day.

Dr. Yusuf Kumble, MD of Indiana Hospital, delivered the welcome address, in which he stated that one needs to keep one’s heart healthy to lead a happy life.

Mangalore Police Commissioner Manish Karbikar inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp with the other dignitaries on the dais. Stating that police officers work under a great deal of stress, he said that they must focus on taking care of their health.

Ivan D’Souza, secretary of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), also addressed the gathering.

Dr. Mukund, chief cardiologist at Omega Hospital; Dr. Ali Kumble, chairman of Indiana Hospital; and Ramakrishna, president of DK Press Club, were also present.
