dvs13mar18 1Mangalore, Mar 18, 2013: Former chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda has made it clear that he was not after the post of State BJP Presidentship.

Speaking to media men in Mangalore on March 17, Sunday, Gowda  also said that he had never lobbied for the post. “ The BJP National President Rajnath Singh is presently on a Varnasi tour and he will decide on the appointment once he returns to the national capital,” Sadananda Gowda said and also hoped that the most suitable candidate will be chosen for the top post.

When   media men drew his attention towards the statement of Housing Minister V Somanna that  the party leadership would be pressurized to bring back Yeddyurappa to the BJP fold,  Sadananda Gowda said he was unaware of the same. “The matter has also not come up at the BJP core committee meeting held on March 16.  Somanna is close to Yeddyurappa. Therefore, it is best for him to comment on his statement,”  Gowda said.

Sadananda Gowda on this occasion informed that the BJP will be holding rallies and conventions throughout the state from March 23 to 30 in order to place before the public the achievements of the State BJP government and the anti-people policies of the UPA government at the Centre.
