Shirva, May 26, 2025: With the approval of All India Mahila Congress President Alka Lamba and as per the directive of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President Sowmya Reddy, Bantakallu Geetha Wagle has been appointed as the General Secretary of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee.

Geetha Wagle has previously served as the President of the Udupi District and Kapu Block Mahila Congress, a member of the Shirva Gram Panchayat, and as a member of both the Udupi and Kapu Taluk Panchayats. She is currently serving as the Vice President of the Udupi District Guarantee Schemes Implementation Committee.
